Are you technically savvy at repairing and maintaining a variety of digital and electronic equipment related to motion picture film preservation workflows? Would you enjoy maintaining and repairing film scanners, film printers and related systems found in a digital and photochemical film laboratory? How about doing all this in a facility custom built for the storage and preservation of audiovisual material, nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, alongside colleagues who share your passion and enthusiasm? The incumbent is responsible for maintaining digital and legacy equipment used for the preservation and duplication of motion picture film as well as maintaining associated support equipment for the film preservation laboratory, including a broad array of obsolete equipment that has not been manufactured for decades but is still essential to preservation production.
